Maples-By-Design Boasting over 700 varieties of maples, we are proud to offer you the largest selection of Japanese maples on the West Coast. While walking through our Arboretum, you can view over 500-600 trees, including ~500 specimen sized trees in various arrangements and settings. Whether you are looking for rare cultivars, such as the Acer palmatum ‘Red Bamboo’ and ‘Red Cloud’, or more common Japanese maples, such as the ‘Crimson Queen’ and ‘Green Cascade’. Maples-By-Design can help find the right tree for your needs. In addition to finding the right tree, we will also provide you with the most appropriate information to care for your maples. Proper placement, fertilization, moisture levels, and pruning habits are keys to the success of any tree, and we can help identify those places ideal for long-term health. Landscape Design Emphasis When selected and cared for properly, Japanese maples can become an integral part of modern landscape design. At Maples-By-Design, we strive to display the versatility that Japanese maples can offer. We have developed several displays which exhibit Japanese maple cultivars in unique garden settings. Emphasis has been placed on creating seasonal landscapes that support and accentuate Japanese maples, by incorporating them with other plants and trees. The result, is a scenic experience that demonstrates a few of the ideas in which you can use to present and enjoy the Japanese maple.
